This is an icon on Route 66. They are one of the first restaurants on the Mother Road and have been at this location for about 90 years. The food and service was great. They have fantastic desserts. A must stop if you're on Route 66.

This is our second trip to the Ariston in as many months. We love the food and the desserts are amazing and extremely reasonable. The staff are kind, patient and checked on us regularly. Highly recommend!!!

I stopped into The Ariston Cafe for dessert and was not disappointed in the least. They have a lot of delicious options. My biggest complaint was trying to decide which one to pick. The blueberry fluffy cheesecake dessert was a great choice. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. It was my first time there, the food I saw other patrons eating looked delicious and the salad bar looked amazing as well. I will definitely be back to eat a full meal.

Delicious food and great service. I was going for a local gem and found it. The fried chicken was amazing and despite the intimidating name & presentation, hubby loved his Deep Fried Bacon Horseshoe. No time for dessert, even though several looked yummy. (Felt bad, too, because the awesome staff bring out all the desserts for you to look at, which they could skip since the cooler display is the first thing that draws your eye when you walk in).

Great atmosphere. I believe the business was moved to it's current location in 1936. The interior is the same as when it was built. Great service, food prepared quickly, inexpensive. We had very good salads. My husband had cheese cake topped with blueberries. The bite I stole from him was delicious. If I travel this way again I'll stop by.

Our meal was fabulous. Our waitress was superb, Eriel took care of our every need. She made great suggestions from the menue. Thank you, Eriel, for such a wonderful meal after our long drive on the road today. My husband had the chicken, and I had the liver and onions. Both were so delicious. Oh yes they have a full salad bar with the most awesome blue cheese dressing. This would be a great place to stop to eat for anyone.

Was in the Springfield, IL area for work events—on my drive back to St. Louis, I stopped by as I’d heard great things about this historic establishment. Came right before closing so got homemade desserts to-go. The lemon blueberry layered cake & the chocolate cream pie were absolutely delightful! There were at least 9 other desserts to choose from so I’ll definitely return to try more as well as savory entrees. The staff were super friendly and accommodating :)
